He is survived by: his wife Carolyn McCrimmon Merritt; his daughter Angela Jackson (Marvin) of Aberdeen; his brothers, Randy Merritt (Betty) of Beulaville, NC, Johnny Merritt (Connie) of Warsaw, NC and Kenny Pope of Beulaville, NC; his grandchildren, Cody, Tre (Paola), Hannah, Rachel (Austin) and Alyssa; and his great grandchild Noah.
