He was predeceased by: his parents, John Carstairs Douglas and Nonabelle Abbot Douglas; and his brother John A. Douglas. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Oldham Douglas; his children, Ryan Douglas (Linda) of Pinehurst and Katie Douglas Thornberg (David) of Pinebluff; his siblings, Lydia Kernodle of Chapel Hill and Samuel Douglas of Arkansas; and his grandchildren, Ashley, Peyton, Charlotte, David, Jonathan, Joshua and Madison.
