It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Powers Credle in Aberdeen, North Carolina, born in Utica, New York, who passed away on February 14, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Richard Powers has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.

He was predeceased by: his significant other Mildred "Millie" Troutman Credle; his parents, Bernice Credle and Jane Powers Credle; and his brother Michael Credle. He is survived by: his brothers, Tom Credle and David Credle. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Page United Methodist Church (115 E Main St, Aberdeen, NC 28315).
