She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman F. Slate and Anna Tuttle Slate; her husband Eddie Teal; and her siblings, Herman F. Slate, Jr. and Frances Slate Oldham.
She is survived by: her sons, Don Teal of Aberdeen and Daryl Teal (Betty) of Cameron; her grandsons, Cody and Dylan Teal; and her sisters, Sarah Slate Stancil of Carthage and Mary Tuttle "Tut" Slate Smith of Statesville, NC. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
