She was predeceased by: her parents, Carlton Thomas and Inez Thomas; her siblings, Sonny, Donald Thomas and Betty Huff; and her grandson Josh Britt.
She is survived by: her husband David Schuchard; her daughters, Amy Ivey (Mark), Jill Britt (Jeff) and Holly Needham (Joe); her grandchildren, Zac Ivey (Elly), Emily Varner (Kyle), Jake Britt (Raine), Sam Ivey (Stephanie), Matt Needham, Noah Britt (Maddie), Mary Cate Lu (Michael), Madison Britt, Lillie Needham and Eli Needham (Emma); her great grandchildren, Joanna, Max Lu, Eloise, Oliver Britt, Nova Ivey, Maverick Varner and Jack Britt; and her sister Brenda Spencer (Metrah). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Boles Funeral Home Chapel (425 W Pennsylvania Ave, Southern Pines, NC 28387). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Ashley Heights Baptist Church (10351 Aberdeen Rd, Aberdeen, NC 28315).
