He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifton Stancil and Gertrude Woodard Stancil; his wife Nycie Jon; and his siblings, Mary Willie Babson and James Clifton Stancil.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Stancil Hartsell (Lloyd), Jean Stancil Frye (Gerald) and James Stancil of Roseland; his grandchildren, Jessica Hartsell, Samantha Mack (Justin), Harrisen Frye and Evanne Frye; his great grandchild Madelyn of Aiden; his close friend Peggy Brixey; and also Sarah Stancil.
