He is survived by: his wife Linda Hough; his children, John William "Jay" Hough (Stephanie) and Tara Hough Sellers (William); his grandchildren, Courtney Hough, Gracie Hough, Jason Hough and Emma Hogan; and his stepgrandchildren, Danielle Sellers and Taylor Sellers.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Jesse's name may be made to Southern Pines Police Department, VFW, and St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
