Inez Locklear Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Inez Locklear of Aberdeen, North Carolina, who passed away on March 11, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Inez departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Inez. Though Inez may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Vance Locklear and Madies Hunt Locklear; her husband Johnny Locklear; and her children, Kenneth Ray Locklear and Dora Frances Sampson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kathleen Woods of Aberdeen, Brenda Faye Lowery (Gerald) of Red Springs and Wanda Sue Sorrell (Tommy) of Aberdeen; and her brother Alfred Locklear (Brenda). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Boles Funeral Home- Red Springs (102 S Vance St, Red Springs, NC 28377). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the South Hoke Baptist Church (4205 Old Maxton Rd, Red Springs, NC 28377). A burial was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at the same location.
