She was predeceased by: her sons, Oscar and Leroy Simmons; and her siblings, Helen, Lossie Mae, Lucille, Sara, Dave, Henry, George and Elijah.

She is survived by: her brother Frank Crouch; and her children, Brenda Crouch, Blondelle Harris (Charles), Shelby Brown (Artie), Elijah Simmons (Rhonda) and Steve Simmons (Reco). She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
