It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Guy Leon McWhorter (Aberdeen, North Carolina), born in Shiloh, North Carolina, who passed away on October 25, 2018, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Stanley McWhorter; and his children, Melanie M. Harrison of Pinebluff and Mike McWhorter of Garner. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family will receive friends.
Interment will follow at Yates-Thagard Cemetery.The family suggest in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church Building Fund, 632 McCrimmon Road, Carthage, NC 28327.
