He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Kennedy and Bessie Horne Kennedy; and his siblings, Mattie Bostic and Barry Kennedy. He is survived by: his wife Rosa Miller Kennedy; his children, Debra Kay Berger of Aberdeen, Lauretta "Dee" Davis (Robert) of Aberdeen, Diana Kennedy of Aberdeen, Elwood E. Kennedy, Jr. of Aberdeen, Wanda Gail Currie (Gerald) of Aberdeen and David Duane Kennedy (Maria) of Texas; and his siblings, Mavis Kennedy and Elmo Gerald Kennedy. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and twenty two great-grandchildren.
