He is survived by: his wife Deborah Frye Parsons; his children, Bridget Weston (Tracy) of Shallotte, NC, Brian Parsons of Aberdeen, NC and Brandi Parsons of Aberdeen, NC; and his siblings, Geneva Wilson of West End, NC and Walter Glen Gibson Jr. of Rockingham, NC.. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the First Health Hospice House or the American Cancer Society in his honor.
