He was predeceased by: his parents, George Walter Hill Jr. and Peggy Parsons Meymandi; his sister Elaine Hill Gray; and his stepfather Afshin Meymandi. He is survived by: his niece Kimberly Anne Covington; and his nephews, James Thomas Covington, III and Patrick Michael Holt.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Richmond County.
