He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Poitra and Nora Azure (Reuben); his siblings, Richard Poitra (Judy) and Doreen Moran; his brother-in-law Gary Moran; and his close friend Merle Reeves Lucas (George).
He is survived by: his wife Pamela Pipal; his children, Joseph Poitra (Nikki), Julie Wright (William), Lionel Weeks (Dee), Daisy and Buddy; his grandchildren, Reeves Poitra, Derik Poitra, Aeryn Martin, Korra Poitra, Celea Poitra, Daniel Sears, Dylan Poitra, Thomas Wright and Shai-Lee Weeks Stafne (Jordan); his great grandchildren, Rory Solberg, Avery Hedoeslt, Shawn Julius Haukaas and Michael Bearclaw; his godchild Twileta Martin Griggs; and his siblings, Agnes Moran, Elise Eggebrecht (Steve), Patrick Poitra (Sherry), Ruby Moran, Mark Moran (Karen), Jerry Moran and Robert Moran. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
