It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Steven Olufson of Wibaux, Montana, who passed away on April 1, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Steven is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Steven's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his mother Rosalie Russell; and his half-brother Glenn Olufson. He is survived by: his children, Bobbi Suhr (John, family: Miranda Zych, Greysen, Maevyn, Isla Zych, Allyson Dockter, Olivia, Piper Dockter, Garret Suhr), Rebecca McFadden (Mitch Wittmer, family: Alexis, Landon McFadden, Riley, Shelby Wittmer) and Travis Olufson (Jen, family: Austin, Caleb Olufson); his half-siblings, Dustin Stevens (Karen) and Sally Basner (Dan); and his aunts, Donna Burgau, Kay Sorenson, Evalene Lee, Reta Jorddheim and Joyce Elliff.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Lerud Mathias Funeral Home Chapel (515 Central Ave N, Valley City, ND 58072). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
