He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtiss Deckert and Mary Alice Deckert (Deines); his wife Bonnie Stuhl; his brother Curtis Deckert Jr.; and his pet Duncan.
He is survived by: his close friend Angie Troutner of Wibaux; and his siblings, Debbie Laddusaw of Bozeman, MT, Dale Deckert (Del), Carrie Wessell and David Deckert (Kari) of Glendive. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
