He was predeceased by: his parents, Verner Bertelsen and Marjorie Bertelsen (Wendt); and his brother Allen Bertelsen. He is survived by: his wife Karen Cranston of Beach, ND; his sons, Jeff Bertelsen (Tina) of Wibaux and Gregg Bertelsen (Jessica) of Dickinson, ND; his grandchildren, Travis (Jonna) of Beach, Chase of Billings, MT and Trenten of Moorhead, MN; his great grandchildren, Rhett, Ryker and Renleigh; and his sister Annette Bertelsen of Montpelier, VT.
