He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Smith and Hazel Smith; and his daughter Courtney Smith. He is survived by: his wife Marlene Smith of Whitehall; his daughter Jennifer "Josie" Sacry (Brand) of Bozeman; his grandchildren, Jordan, Kenedy, Cobe and Judah; his son Brian Smith (Shiloh) of Belgrade; his grandchildren, Micah, Levi, Noah, Naomi, Elijah and Isaiah; and also Becky Donaldson of Billings.
