She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Pettit and Martha Pettit (Bury); her husbands, Jack Frey and Dale "Punk" Howke Jr.; her sibling Dale "Skip" Pettit; and her sons, Darrell and Baby James.
She is survived by: her children, Bruce A Frey, Keith J Frey (Min Qin), Raymond H. Frey, Janeen A. McGarry, Peggy A. Borntrager (Paul) and David C. Howke. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
