He was predeceased by: his parents, George Lisle Jewell and Evelyn Jewell (Lambertsen); and his siblings, Nina, George, Edwin "Pete" and Betty.

He is survived by: his children, Michael (Debbie) of Billings, MT and Susan of Victor, MT; and his grandchildren, Christina, Andrew, Michael and Steven. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
