He was predeceased by: his wife Mary E. Martel; and his son Josef Franz Martel. He is survived by: his children, Tim Hawthorne, Terry Martel, Tana Williams and Theresa Rambo; and his brother Willey Martel. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
