He was predeceased by: his parents, Sanford Hicks and Lucy Hicks; his wife Marjery Friberg; his son Jim; and his siblings, Shirley Newcomb, Bill, Everett and Norman.
He is survived by: his daughter Karen Penner (Ernie) of Fromberg, MT; and his daughter-in-law Kitti Strong of Billings, MT. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
