He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Brown and James Brown; his stepmother Ann; his granddaughter Destiny Tallmadge; and his nephew James Richard "J. R.".
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ruth Hays; his children, John "JB" Brown Jr. and Jada Schnetter (Ben); his grandchildren, Taylor Brown, Gage Tallmadge, Allie Brown, Jadon Tallmadge, Wylee Schnetter, John Brown III, Natalie Brown and Ann Brown; and his siblings, James Brown (Belinda), Terry Manger (Art) and Jackie Miller (Mick). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and friends.
