He is survived by: his wife Karoline Bischoff; his children, Kurt Cole and Carmen Erickson (George); and his grandchildren, Angie Schmidt (Wayne), Justin Erickson, Amanda Cole, Natasha Forsythe (Greg) and Jacob Cole (Britney). He is also survived by several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
