He is survived by: his son Gene McCommon (Dallas) of Belgrade, MT.; his grandchildren, Sean Kidder, Kassie Beirwagen and Kyle McCommon; and his siblings, Virginia Shapen, Joan Luck, Carmen Miller, Judy Gumke and Jay Mickelson.
