He was predeceased by: his parents, Hans Christian and Amelia Hjorth; his wife Maureen Alexander; his daughters, Cheryl and Lynette; his brothers, Marvin and Dennis; and his sister-in-law Maggie.
He is survived by: his children, Lori, Charlene Mayes (Joseph) of Billings, MT, Darcel Mayes (Gary) of Billings, MT and Kent (Corinna Rehm) of Billings, MT; and his sister-in-law Delores Hjorth of Gillette, WY. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; forty-three great-grandchildren; and eleven great-great grandchildren.
