He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosvel Leander and Arvella Mable Brekhus; his sister Holly; and his stepfather Carl Skurdal. He is survived by: his siblings, Pete, Duke, Kit and Rock; and his spouse Arvella.
His passing was the result of primary progressive multiple sclerosis complicated by a recent Covid-19 viral infection.
