Opal Larson Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Opal Larson of Shelby, Montana, who passed away on September 18, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elsie Martinson (Nerenz) and Nels Martinson; her husband James G. Larson; her daughter Gayle Larson Moon; and her siblings, Elfred, Carl, Glen, Lloyd, Willis and Nora.
She is survived by: her daughters, Wendy Elisha (Bob) of Bozeman and Sandra Steiner (Paul) of Shelby; her son-in-law Bob Moon (Gayle) of Helena; her grandchildren, Anna Latham (Gavin) of Hai Phong, Vietnam, Marie Nelson (Ryan) of Bozeman, Allison Moon-Russo (Matt) of Norfolk, VA, Ashley Moon of Helena, Brian Chuckran (Taylor) of Colorado Springs, CO and Kevin Steiner of Kalispell; and her sisters, Anna Lucas of Polson and Della Dooley of Oklahoma City, OK. She is also survived by three great-granddaughters, one great-grandson.
In 2020, during COVID while she was shuttered in her apartment, Opal took on the wonderful project of writing her life story.
