He was predeceased by: his parents, Olaf Hesla and Mabel Hesla (Storvick); his wife Gretchen; his close friend Nada; his son John Hesla; and his grandson Michael Hesla.
He is survived by: his sister Joanne Edwall (late Gene); his children, Paul (Ann), Mark Hesla (Jane) and Kristi Hesla Sherrod (Darrel); his grandchildren, Jade Premo, Sioona Hesla, Meagan Hesla Bennett (Steven), Matthew Hesla, Shaylee Alford, Sarah Sherrod, Miranda Sherrod, Adam and Cotton Root; his nieces, Vickie Bomgren and Carol Fletcher; and his nephew David Edwall. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
