It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Joan Kanning of Shelby, Montana, born in Bremerton, Washington, who passed away on September 20, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Curtis Kanning; and her parents, Robert Jystad (Carol) and Marjorie Jobe (Oscar). She is survived by: her children, Roger Kanning, Adam Kanning (Corrine), Angela Norman and Joel Kanning (Tami); her sister Barbara Peterson; and her half-brother Dan Jystad. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (1075 Oilfield Ave, Shelby, MT 59474).
