He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecelia Welch (Doppler) and Robert M. Welch; and his siblings, Robert, George, Donald and Laura.
He is survived by: his children, David and Elaine Patterson (Ken); his granddaughter Laura Patterson; and his brothers, Dick and Rolly of Hazelton, ND. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and grand nephews and nieces.
