She was predeceased by: her parents, Emilia Novacek and Frank Slemin; her husband Omar J. Gardner; and her sister Helen Jensen. She is survived by: her sister Mildred Kuykendall; and her son Britt Buster Gardner Davis. She is also survived by 2 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
