She was predeceased by: her parents, Julia Ruth Courville and Floyd Augustine Dupuis; her husband John Baptiste Vallee; her brothers, Donald "Donny", Loren, Kenneth and Richard Dupuis; her grandson Thomas Lyles; and the father of her children Bearhead Swaney.
She is survived by: her children, Kim Swaney, Patty Stevens (Willie), Ruth Swaney and Bill Swaney; her pet Molly; her grandchildren, Joanna Mackey, Joseph Stevens, Marianne, Catherine Addison, Jamie Dickson, Raymond Adams (Jennifer) and Lily Swaney; her great grandchildren, Jason, Erica Baldwin, Brian Lyles, Talayna, Talus Endfield, Talon, Thomas, Tahnee Addison, Mataya Oakland, Kobe, Quinn, Kash Stevens, Jodessa, Jasper McGreevery, Jailah, Messiah Adams, James Caye and Kaylaiha Dubois; and her siblings, Darry (Rita), Forest "Buzz", Mike (Verna), Greg Dupuis (Abby) and Peggy VanNess (Rod). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM and at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Salish Kootenai College nursing student scholarships in Dorene's honor.
