She was predeceased by: her parents, J. Jalmar Harmala and Lillie Harmala (Bell); her husband Arnold Alt; her former husband George Swanson (Judd); her brothers, Walter, Emil and Arnold; her grandson Brian; her stepsister Martina Crawford; and her sister-in-law Grace Jarvi.

She is survived by: her daughter Diane (Gary Wacker); her grandsons, Darrel (Linda Wacker) and Duane (Julie Wacker); her granddaughter-in-law Greta (Tom DeTonancour); her great grandchildren, Amanda, Steven Happel, Jessica, Emmett Wester, Rebecca, Sean Barbula, Kacie Wacker, Sid and Jenna Wacker; her great great grandchildren, Brian and Zoey Wester; and her family, Nedra and Randy Vranish (family: Becky Swanson).

She was active in RSVP since 1995 delivering meals and doing other volunteer work.
