He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Harper and Edna Harper (Haroun); his wife Minnie McLaughlin (Harmon); and his brothers, Donald, Harold and Teddy.
He is survived by: his former spouse Jean Rathbun; his stepchildren, Mike Smith, Roger Smith (Teri) of Lewistown, Terry Smith, Gerald McLaughlin, Robin McLaughlin and Susan Youngbauer; his nieces, Sharon Boyer and Sharon Hansen; his children, Richard of Lewistown, Cheri Hins (Lance) of Tappen, ND and Sally Aives (Stevie) of Boca Raton, FL; his siblings, Glen Harper of Missoula, MT and Mabel Stralo of Poway, CA; and his niece Connie Lacey of Redmond, WA. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The Cloyd Funeral Home is assisting the family Friends are asked to make memorials to the Fergus County Council on Aging, Musselshell/Golden Valley County 4-H Council or the charity of their choice and they may be left with the Cloyd Funeral Home.
