He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Michael Hawk and Almena Necklace; his son Herman James Hawk (June Greybull); his stepfather Lawrence Reddog; his stepson Rocky Cooeyate; his grandson Trey Marion; and his siblings, Edward, James, Carol, Bonnie, Pamela, Lauren, Estelle, Kara and Sissy Anderson.
He is survived by: his extended family, Rusty, Dusty, Lyle, Louis "Jack" Youpee and Sissy Anderson; his daughter Monella Rose Hawk; his wife June Greybull; his son Steven Smith; his grandchildren, Nichelle Hawk (Donovan Menz), Mikela Miller (Trey), Alissa Roberts, Kandi Cooyate, Rachel Cooyate, Kacee Cooyate, Cecilia Cooyate, Raina Cooyate, Capricia Cooyate, Tara Cooyate, Candacea Cooyate, Vandina Cooyate, Vaden Cooyate, Zachary Smith and Gordon Cooyate; his brother-in-law Johnny Youpee; and his brother Cody Eagleman.
