He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, E. B. McCurdy and Esther Zumwalt McCurdy; his sons, Edward (Johna), William (Lori) and Thomas; his brother Bill; his grandson Christian McCurdy; his wife Myrtle; his daughter Janine McCurdy-Bryan (Gary); and his sister Carolyn Swalling. He was also cherished by eight grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
