He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Olson and Verna Olson; his brother Jon Olson (Annette); and his wife MaryLynn Hedman. He is survived by: his sons, Nathan Olson (Jody) of Plentywood, MT and Andy Olson (Sapphira) of Westby, MT; his grandsons, Logan Olson (Kimberly) of Flaxville, MT and Aleksander Olson of Westby, MT; his great grandchildren, Luke and Leo Olson of Flaxville, MT.; and his siblings, Gary Olson (Betty) of Windom, MN and Deb Miller (Kim) of Jeffers, MN.. He is also survived by his sons, grandsons, and great grandsons.
