He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Wood and Elsie Wood; his wife Helen; his son Dirk; and his son-in-law Jon Mehl.
He is survived by: his children, Christine Mehl, Steven Wood (Pam), Paula Holdeman (Paul), Linda Teigen (Bob), Judy Flakne (Raymond), Jerry Wood (Tammy) and Dallen Wood (Julie). He is also survived by six children and later welcomed a niece and nephew into their home when his sister.
