He was predeceased by: his mother Lois Ashley (Doney); his grandparents, Archie, June Ashley, George and Elva Doney; his sisters, Debbie Ashley and Jerolyn LaFromboise; and his cousin Danny Evjan.

He is survived by: his father William A. Ashley; his siblings, Dale Schiele (Pam), Rhonda Hogan and Barbara Hill (Dwayne); his brother-in-law Jeff LaFromboise; his nieces and nephews, Codi VanNess (Rodrick), Rhiannon Meyers, Angela Meyers, Brittany Flores (Jose), Tiffany Ruiz (Sammy), Michelle Moody (Andrew), Heather Hill, Bryan Schiele (Sharilyn), Iain Hogan and Sean Schaefer; his aunts, June Skaggs and Irma Doney; and his cousin Richard Evjan.
