She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Peterson and Alma Peterson (Roane); her children, Dale Bacon and Julia Nedens; her grandsons, Mike Thomas and Nick Bacon; and her great grandchild Mercedes Contreras.
She is survived by: her husband Donald Nelson of Moore; her children, Lawrence Bacon (Lumen), Joy Hertz (Mark), Elma Peters (Norm), Mickey Potts (Tony), David Bacon (Kaushik), Tim Nelson (Irva), Corey Bacon (Stephanie) and William Nelson; her son-in-law Jeff Nedens; and her sister-in-law Sheila Nelson. She is also survived by Her 35 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
