He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. Lentz and Katherine Kilcher Lentz; and his stepfathers, Lloyd C. Roemer and Raymond "Hap" Kibble. He is survived by: his wife Alice F. Roemer; his children, John Roemer (Ginnie Morey) and Katya Roemer (Cameron Birse); his grandchildren, Chris Roemer (Mikiko), Andrea Roemer (Dan), Angela Birse, Nicole Fuller (Robert), Paul Rodriguez (LeAnn), Kaito, Julia, Carson, Keara, Aiden, Chloe, Caitlyn, Caleb, Cora, Cosette, Cadence, Flynn and Mara; his brother Conrad Joel (Carolyn); his nieces and nephews, Jocelyn Patchen (Ray) and Marci Preble (Doug); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Gianna, Isaac Patchen and Jakob; his nephews, Luke and Shane Preble; his stepchildren, Richard Fischer, Carol Cade (Matt) and Patty Evans (Scott); his stepgrandchildren, Andrea Hamm (Robert), Elizabeth Evans, Tom Chandler (Chelsea) and Chris Chandler (Mary); his grandchildren, Wyatt, Leo, Alice, Claire and George; his nephew Mike Garr (Penny); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Keri, Mike and Steve Garr (Alice).
