He was predeceased by: his parents, Marilyn Buchanan and Jack Buchanan. He is survived by: his wife Karla Buchanan; his stepmother Georgette Buchanan; his siblings, Jeff Buchanan (Marilee Wood), Tim Buchanan (Jayne) and Traci Buchanan; his stepsister Peggy Butts (Gary); his stepson Andrew Rosenbaum (Lindsey); his stepgrandchild Kameryn Richards; his stepchildren, Austin Rosenbaum (Jasmine), Kaylee Rosenbaum, Kristopher Rosenbaum (Aryana Ridlon), Tyler Bennett and Whitney Bennett; and also, Christopher Buchanan (Ayla), Cori Buchanan (Miles Anders), Danielle McArdle (Taylor) and Brendan Buchanan (Jhanati Rajesh).
A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Crosspoint Church (7500 Mullan Rd, Missoula, MT 59808).
