It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Thompson of Missoula, Montana, born in Rainier, Oregon, who passed away on May 4, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Clifford Girt and Pearl Girt; her husband James Walter Thompson (Jim); her children, Patricia LaVon, James Walter (Carola) and LaVon Patrice'; her sister Patricia Coon; and her grandchildren, Leslie Thwing II, Nicole Poindexter, Amber Smith (Montana), Bethany Coski, James Thompson (Montana), Stephen Thompson, Michelle Lautzenheiser, Rebecca Thompson (Montana) and Jason-Michael Thompson (Montana).
