It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Joyce Hettinger of Missoula, Montana, who passed away on June 20, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Barbara Joyce shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Barbara Joyce farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Abel and Vera Abel (Shafer); her brother Ronald; and her grandson Bryan Meyer. She is survived by: her daughters, Diane (Dan Kerr) of Andover, MN, Lisa (Wade Meyer) of Sioux Falls, SD and Patsy (Jerry Kirschenheiter) of Missoula, MT; and her sister-in-law Viola Abel of Boone, IA. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials may be given to First Lutheran Church of Missoula, MT.
