He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy. He is survived by: his siblings, Eva Schneider-Borgmann (Bernd), Rainer Borgmann and Margrit Breitenstein (Peter); his daughters, Andrea Borgmann (Wayne Mesard), Caitlin Borgmann (John Lovi) and Kendra Ralstin (Craig); and his grandchild Newfoundlands (Joey).

Albert received numerous awards and honors for his contributions to philosophy.
