He was predeceased by: his parents, Leighton Carpenter and Theresa Carpenter; his sons, Timothy and David Carpenter; his son-in-law Jerry Hansen; his siblings, Cora Dennehy (John Mike), Phyllis Petritz (Rudolph), Tina Else (Lester), Birdie Mullaney (Jerry), John Carpenter and Robert Carpenter; and his in-laws, Rose Venner, Herb Venner, Herbie Venner Jr., Jim Dallaserra and Rosie Carpenter.
He is survived by: his wife Roseann; his children, Dale Carpenter (Twyla), Sylvia Carpenter (Mark Tallon), Sheila Hansen and Travis Carpenter (Holly); his siblings, Marcella Dallaserra, Myles Carpenter (Ann Palmer) and Carl Carpenter (Betty); his sisters-in-law, Jill, Ruth Carpenter and Kathleen Venner; his grandchildren, Emily Rivers (John), Sarah Story (Tyler), Sarah Thomas (JJ), Casaundra Matich (Matt), Avery, Hayes Hansen, Maddee, Rikkiee Wonnacott, George, Travee, Coy and Charlie Carpenter; and his great grandchildren, Van, Eben, Blythe Story, Greyson, Oliver, Meira Rivers, Walker, Aviana Thomas, Dale, Betty Matich, Ezekiel and Emmilenne Carpenter.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (1201 Caledonia St, Butte, MT 59701). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Shriner's Children's Hospital, a charity dear to Dale's heart.
