She was predeceased by: her siblings, Beulah, Gerald and John; and her parents, John Slagter and Barbara Zylstra Slagter.
She is survived by: her children, Eric (Julie), Dawn Kooistra (Hal), Phillip (Magumi) and Karla Joy Block; and her husband John Block. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
