David Peters wrote a sympathy message

“Ty was a delight to work with the past couple of years while at the Helena - Lewis and Clark National Forest. He worked closely with me the past couple of months as our Frontliner at our front office at the Belt Creek Ranger Station. Ty was always ready to help out wherever he could and did it with joy. I will always remember his strong heart, his application of the Golden Rule, and his positive spirit amongst our Forest Service crews. RIP my friend and co-worker, you will be sorely missed.”
