Thomas Chasey Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Chasey (Libby, Montana), born in Leon, Iowa, who passed away on December 11, 2019, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas W. Chasey and Hollis Irene Ziegler Chasey; and his children, James, Steve, Michele and John.

He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Maria Gundacker (John) and Bryan Whittaker (Teri); his brother-in-law Richard Kendall (Lea); his brother Steven Hewitt; and his pets, Smiloh and Jak. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, his request was that donations be made to in his name to Libby Christian Church, Northwest Community Health Center, or Home Options Hospice, all of which are in Libby, MT.

“Mike and I were good friends in High School. WE had spoken a few times since his retirement in Libby but it has been awhile. WE grew up together attending Grade school, Scouts and social events. After High school Mike joined the Marines and I moved south. During High School Mike was a member of our Saturday night card playing group at Bob Colemans house. Always a good time.
